Indoor 'Street /Ball' Hockey Finally Makes it's Arrival in the Jewish Community!

Street/Ball Hockey is a challenging and exciting sport. It certainly has the potential for serious injury and as such all players need to consider that before playing in the sport.

Oakland Kochavim supplies caged helmets and sticks to each participant. Some players choose to bring in their own caged helmets.

Each participant is responsible to bring other protective gear. The following is a list of suggested equipment. Hockey equipment may lessen an injury but no equipment can guarantee that injury or even death will not occur, whether intentional or not intentional when playing Street/Ball hockey. Each participant is voluntarily assuming the risk of injury, damage or death.

PARTICIPANT FULLY UNDERSTANDS AND IS FOREVER GIVING UP, IN ADVANCE, ANY RIGHT TO SUE OR MAKE ANY CLAIM AGAINST BLADIUM SPORTS & FITNESS CLUB - ALAMEDA, ITS OFFICERS, AGENTS, EMPLOYEES, MEMBERS AND INSURERS, OAKLAND KOCHAVIM (OAKLAND STARS) STREET/BALL HOCKEY GROUP,  ITS MEMBERS AND JOSEPH (YOSSI) OFFENBERG IF PARTICIPANT, INVITEES OR OTHER THIRD PERSONS SUFFER ANY INJURIES OR DAMAGES, EVEN THOUGH IT OR THEY DO NOT KNOW WHAT OR HOW EXTENSIVE THOSE INJURIES AND DAMAGES MIGHT BE, AND PARTICIPANT IS VOLUNTARILY ASSUMING THE RISK OF THOSE INJURIES AND DAMAGES.

1. Shin guards are extremely important as they may minimize stick or ball injury to the shin/knee area. Ice hockey shin guards provide the most protection but are also the bulkiest for running. Street hockey shin guards are thinner but lighter. Some players prefer soccer guards.

2. Gloves are essential as they may minimize wrist or hand injury. Again, ice hockey gloves are the first choice. Some players use ski gloves.

3. Cup and supporter specifically designed for hockey or soccer protection is best.

4. Compression shirts and compression long pants is a good choice as they are close to the skin for superior wicking and moisture transfer.

5. New running or court shoes which offer good ankle and foot support.

6. Always bring plenty of water!!! You will sweat!!!
