We have some excellent media news. For those who are just joining our group, the Bay Area Jewish newspaper, the "J"  http://www.jewishsf.com/ has been recently working on a story about our continuously growing group, the Oakland Kochavim (Stars). They sent a reporter to play with us in the first game of this season as well as a photographer who took hundreds of photos of that event.

Earlier this evening, I had a meeting with their associate editor who told me that the newspaper management team found our story to be so interesting and unique for the Bay Area that they are promoting it to cover story!
Even without the press, I believe that our group has been a success demonstrated at every game by the camaraderie, sportsmanship and 'heart' that everyone displays. That the editors of the J find this to be an inspiring and motivating group of players, so much so that it becomes the lead cover story, only underscores that fact, and is a credit to all of us!   All of you should be quite proud!

The story is scheduled for Friday Feb 9 and will also be available online.

Again, thank you for being part of this sports elite group, the Oakland Kochavim, and as always I welcome your continued participation and involvement.
